Match the size and texture of your brick.

The Right Building Brick?

Matching Brickwork can supply you with the right brick to build in or you can source this from a local builders merchants and we can provide advice and guidance.
In order to achieve the very best brick match, the brick that you build in should match as close as possible to the size and texture of your brickwork.

It doesn't have to be bang on, as once the colour is matched, the texture and size become much less noticeable, but the closer it can be the better the finish.

Even if you are to source the brick to build in from your local builders merchants yard, it is worth submitting images of your brickwork to Matching brickwork so that we can help, advise, and confirm that the bricks that you are building in are suitable.

Don't worry about matching the colour in any way as we can make darker bricks lighter as well as lighter bricks darker. So focus on matching the size and texture of the brick.

Below is an overview of the main different brick size and texture options available.

WIRECUT TEXTURE

Probably the most common type used across the UK over the last forty years.

With clay cut by wires at the factory, the arrises of this brick type are relatively uniformed.

They can also have a variety of patterns and textures added to the face of the brick during the manufacturing process.
